About the facilitator – Nancy Loraas

Prior to Nancy’s career in facilitation, she worked with a variety of teams in her corporate career. These teams ranged from small internal teams to larger external groups with a variety of stakeholders. This exposure gave Nancy a front row seat to the ups and downs of team dynamics.

Now as a consultant, Nancy’s facilitation work has grown to include both large and small teams over a broad range of industries and organizations.

Whether Nancy is working knee deep in mud on a northern construction site or looking at the mountains from the executive conference room, the same facilitation principles apply. Nancy manages the facilitation process from inception and design to execution and follow-up. She has developed an approach whereby she can connect with participants, develop their trust and create engagement. Her no-nonsense approach keeps participants on track and focused on their desired outcome.

Nancy’s passion for communication continues to be a key element in her facilitation career. She believes that people need to have powerful conversations with each other and opens space in the facilitation for them to do so.
